A Project Finished

w c

A Project Finished

For every table that is done

There is an uncompleted one

Waiting to be finished some day

And finally be put on display

The uncompleted gathers dust

In the shop with blades that rust

As reminders that carpentry

Is harder than it appears to be

A chair may still need some screws

Or a table some extra glue

The projects so close but so far

To becoming what they almost are

Whether oak or yellow pine

The projects vary in design

Waiting to be finally through

And take their place in a dining room

Many projects are finally completed

With the work that is needed

And serve to remind

Most good things take some time
