Almost Heaven

The Retired Bloke

Beautiful bright beach huts

Each one deliciously different

Standing like a guard of honour

To those basking in the Autumn glow.

Pines protect from prevailing winds

As Seasiders stroll on shell speckled sand

A wonderful walk to  Holkham Beach

Where heaven feels almost within reach.

  • Comment from author about the poem: We had a wonderful walk from Well Next to the Sea to Holkham Beech yesterday. One of the most beautiful spots I have been to in the British Isles.

Heaven is there for us all.

You describe that slice of heaven so well here - thanks for the gentle feel to this read of beach and seaside - I too have always love the bright colours of beach huts striding the sands of Cornish resorts.
