A Dying Flame

Ezekiel.A

My love for you is like a fire,

And your smile is where it starts,

Every fire has its moment,

But a change in wind could be its last.

I get lost; looking in your eyes,

You brought me light in times of dark,

They tell you aim for the moon,

And you'll fall among the stars,

I wish that you could fall for me,

The way you've had me falling from the start.

Now to you I'm just a shadow,

A faint figure from the past,

They say healing takes time,

But even wounds could leave you scarred.
