This is my final goodbye
My smiles were all a lie
I just wanted to die
I got my wish mommy
I didn't commit suicide
I didn't take my life
He was drunk
He was texting
All while he was driving
I was crossing the street
It was a school crossing.
He was speeding
There was a little girl in front of me
I knew he was going to hit her
I jumped in front of her and pushed her out of the way
BAM
He hops out of his car
Runs up to me crying
"Please don't die, I'm sorry"
My breathing is shaky
Sirens getting louder
Mommy is screaming
Crying out for her baby
One breath
Two breath
Gone
I was supposed to graduate
I was supposed to go to college
I was supposed to grow old
Sure I wanted to die
But not quite yet
You took me from my friends and family
You were drunk
If only you would've stayed home
If only you weren't drunk and texting
I'm glad you hit me and not the little girl
This is my final goodbye
Please don't drink and drive
Please don't text and drive
Yes this
This is my final goodbye
