The Void

TrystanBehm

The search is as old as time itself

To define the indefinable

Diving deep into the waters of emotion

But only finding the shallows

We struggle to comprehend feelings

But endeavor to explain them

Recycling words and thoughts

In new ways with the same meanings

The void seeks to only experience

Only to feel, touch, see and absorb

No explaining, no reaching, no recycling

- For to feel something and recognize it as indefinable

Is a higher calling than explaining something you can’t feel.

    Trystan,

In our lifetime, we all experience and wish to fill that void! The ending of your poem says it best...

“For to feel something and recognize it as undefinable

Is a higher calling than explaining something you can’t feel.”

An excellent and perceptive write! Thank you for sharing!

Those feelings come to us many times we need to stop and recognise them as most of them are wonderful.
