Old Bear Grump And Honey Queen.

kevin browne

Old bear grump and honey queen
Take a look, but look at me
There deep down where flowers cry
Don't ask questions, just wonder why?
Got one sucker stuck on my mind
What it is that you can't see I'll find
Sugar sweet then kiss me quick
Before I get old with a walking stick
Old grey hair grew blinded eyes
Touch on Heaven and saw the skies
Until then I'll see your smiling face
Beauty loved alongside my grace
Got my love and it all poured out
When old Bear grump had no doubt
Inside austerity anger built a tree
Branching out for as far as I can see
Sugar is the centre of a honey heart
Stick with me and I'll play my part
A sign of hope is a sign of love
It's there cherished from God above
Hold my chair in a Candle room
Tip your hats and how'd you do?
Take it in with your pacing stride
Let's hope old grump never dies.

      Kevin,

      A beautifully written poem!
I especially was drawn to the lines...

ā€œSugar is the center of a honey heart
Stick with me and Iā€™ll play my part
A sign of hope is a sign of loveā€...

Yes, hope and love...hand in hand!

      ~Laura~
