Tune: Regent Square
('Light's abode, celestial Salem')
Acts Chapter 2 parts
******
Peter explained at Pentecost
Coming of the Holy Ghost (the Holy Spirit)
People of Israel, my voice hear
I will show you true and clear
Jesus, being delivered by
God's foreknowledge, He did die
But did rise again the third day
It was God's determined way
By His counsel and His will sure
Christ now lives for evermore
Though you people Him crucified
Now He lives, reigns, none beside
God did raise up His Son, having
Loosed the pains of death, we sing
Through Him destroyed death, the curse o'er
Good news to meek, humble, poor
For 'twas not possible that He
By death should e'er holden be
For King David, prophet of old
Here his words they be retold
He did speak of Christ, that He be
Resurrected sure, here see
Through prophetic Psalm this promise
Came to pass, we not it miss
And so here poured out God's Spirit
Hearts and minds energised, lit
Comes to take up residency
In all who repentant be
Who will accept Christ as Saviour
May we turn, penitent stir
Lord of life, o'er death victorious
Eternal life you bought us
Paying the cost of our sins so
We your forgiveness may know
O bright hope and great salvation
Offered unto each nation

That Spirit is with us all Orchi, good write.
Thanks Gold.
Great job as usual, always makes me feel uplifted.
Thank laser.
You trumpet the true message of salvation and that is Jesus.
I was listening to a Messianic Rabbi, Dr. Kirt Schneider a while back and he said his father disowned him for giving up the Jewish faith and becoming a Christian.
His Dad said, where does it mention the name Jesus in the Torah?
Dr. Schneider was unable to answer his dad, but when his father died he found that the name Yeshua means salvation in Hebrew.
Rabbi Schneider said he wished his father was still alive, because salvation (Yeshua) is written all throughout the Torah.
Just some food for thought. 🙂
Thanks Tamara, and for that story.
