thoughts

Brooke Snyder

thoughts

constant thoughts

constantly building pressure in my head

like a balloon filling with air

ready to just...pop

i can't organize each thought so they all blend into a disgusting flavor

that just rots in my brain

a never ending hoarding of unpleasant memories

that soon destroys my present day life

it never stops.

i can't think

but i'm also thinking ever moment the clock ticks

i no longer have control

a monster has claimed my mind

and im just in it's body.

  • Comment from author about the poem: sometimes our minds overflow and we don't know how to handle all of the damage, don't let it take control, don't let it rip you apart.

Your words make us realize when problems relating to the thought process, such as you've outlined in your poem, occur then it's time to take a few minutes to just relax or meditate.

Some people take herbal teas, like lavender, oatstraw or chamomile.

Your poem is nicely written. 🙂
