The Promise of a Shower

The Retired Bloke

The train of terror

Emptied its human cargo

Onto a simple siding

Wretched, weak,and weary

No clues, mistaken optimism

Personal possessions

Items dear to those present

Diamond rings, everyday things

Discarded forever

Lines of lost souls

Awaited their fate

Two walks ahead

Two tracks

Two different outcomes

The strong singled out

The weak

The young

Women with babies

One final walk

Horrifically hoodwinked with...

The promise of a shower

Never been but it really disturbs me just the thought of it all.

A place of sheer silence that oozes gross fear -- no space is daubed deeper with ghosts of poor victims - - A well-crafted verse of saddest reminders that evil used lies and deceit to achieve - - What a haunt of a read.

Thank you. A very emotional place to visit...

What an awful place ti must be, I have never been there but those I know who have come back deeply affected by the place.
      Very good moving write.

      IT MUST NOT HAPPEN AGAIN!!

The most disturbing place I have been in my life. The mission of the place now is to educate people to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
