When on nearing Jerusalem
Jesus sent two of them
Disciples ahead, there to find
Donkey and foal, unbind
If asked why these those animals
Remove, say, The Lord calls
For them, and for them He has need
For humble task indeed
This was to fulfil prophecy
Of Zechariah, see
To tell daughters of Zion that
King comes, on donkey sat
So donkey and foal to Him brought
They did find them, had sought
Laid cloaks on them, Jesus mounted
Palms the ground carpeted
Crowds went ahead and some behind
Were all then of one mind
Shouting, Hosanna, Save now, Lord
You are the living Word
Hosanna to Son of David
Our enemies you rid
Blessings on Him who comes in name
Of the Lord, worthy fame
Hosanna in the highest, cries
As Christ to city nighs
Jerusalem, the crowd do see
He Christ Son of God be

Love this sneak peak ahead to Palm Sunday. Certainly in line with John the Baptist’s call to ‘make a strait way’ for the coming of our Lord (of which we heard, worldwide, this past Sunday, during our Second Week of Advent.)

Thanks Neville. you reading/singing my 'hymn-book'? Erm, sorry, nothing in it about Buddhism.... doubtful! Some themes may be similar though.
I do believe Jesus the Nazarene of the Essene Tribe, Mohammed & Prince Gautama Buddha each truly existed in their own right and their teachings.. or at least their followers perpetuate some of the teachings attributed to them...
