Encouraging Exhortations

1 Peter 5 v.6-10

Come now, humble yourselves under

God's hand, turn from sin's allure

Mighty is His hand for ever

He will guide, forsake never

He will you in due time exalt

Cleanse from every sin and  fault

Cast all your care upon Him, for

He does care for each one sure

Be sober, be vigilant here

Adversary does appear

Devil as a lion roaring

Walks about, troubles ot bring

Seeking who he may devour

Overcome him through God's power

Resist him, stand in the faith firm

He shall prove no more than worm

Know too that the same afflictions

Persecutions, temptations

Are share by your brethren, they be

In the world too constantly

But the God of all grace has called

Us to His glory, not stalled

But to that glory eternal

Through Jesus Christ called us all

After suffering for a while

He will make us, will compile

Perfection, maturity, see

Strengthened, settled, we shall be

To Him be glory, dominion

For ever and ever, none

Like unto Him, He Almighty

Changed into Christ's image we
