I’m still lost

misskay

I keep trying to fill this deep void

Keep busy

Keep being kind

Help others

Appreciate time

put effort into everything you do

But still the loneliness seeps right through

I question who I really am

I question why I’m here

What is my purpose

How can I fill this void with pure lasting cheer?

Still I can not fight back the tears

Maybe I’m just broken

And can not be fixed

I’ve waited for so many years

To feel whole once more

But temporary smiles are just a trick

I ask myself,

I ask the lord

What is my future

Is this heart of mine ever

Going to be cured

Excellent poetry. Hopefully you find the answers soon. Most of us feel lost in this day and age and then one day it all clicks into place, hopefully.

Wow! What an emotional poem, especially the day of Christmas... Well, I hope the New Year is going better for you. This is a really great poem, sorry it is about you! But God does have a plan for you, He just doesn't have to tell us about it first... lol Hang in there!
