What comes so hard to many
I give for free each day
I want to unbelieve in bad
I guess it's just my way
Every movement, every word
A story told, if could be heard
Every fall and faltered step
A lifetime now of sad regret
You see all I really wish to ask
Is that you might forgive my trespass
As I forever will forgive those
Who caused my ugly scars to grow
Every movement, every word
A story told, if could be heard
Every fall and faltered step
A lifetime now of sad regret
You have the power in your heart
To free my sin and healing start
I can only wait and in you believe
That the good inside you might perceive
Every movement, every word
A story told, if could be heard
Every fall and faltered step
A lifetime now of sad regret
I think I know your story well
But it is yours not mine to tell
I hope that one day strength you'll find
To see our stories intertwined
Every movement, every word
A story told, if could be heard
Every fall and faltered step
A lifetime now of sad regret
What comes so hard to many
I give for free each day
I want to unbelieve in bad
I guess it's just my way

That 'bad' will soon be dispelled as the words that you write will change the bad to the good.
Thanks Goldfinch.
Asking for forgiveness is not as easy as receiving it it seems.
Powerful write and a credit to this site! Keep up the good work.
Thanks Simon. I'm actually not that happy with this one. But it was just a feeling I needed to let out.
You're too hard on yourself as all good writers are! Trust me its good and that's what poetry is all about, an outlet of feelings and emotion.
😊
I really do think this is good.. it kind of reaches out and gives the reader a bit of a gentle rough shake if that makes sense... I forgive ya.. if that helps... N
