The fall of Illusion

sylviasearcher

Magic mirror on the wall

Once the fairest, begins to fall

A leap of fancy filled with treasure

Designed to give only purest pleasure

But she who enters must be alone

To reign upon her kingdom’s throne

Beyond the mirror another call

Of people reaching standing tall

Braving icy hills of unfeeling

Whispering her name, beginning healing

Painting pictures of a different home

Despite her flaws, still loved and known

As sleeping beauty’s eyes sleep tight

What visions will fly around this night

What winds will her name begin to speak

Who will her salvation seek

Through the mirror in perfect land?

Or the kindness and patience of human hand?
