The Songbird Sings

Edthepoet

When we're lost in the forest
The tree's serve no purpose
When you're to tired to breathe
When I'm lost in the forest
These flowers without florists
Bring me to my knees

You took so long
It's already begun
What are you gonna save me from?
We got it so wrong
Their light shines so strong
Are you gonna deny me love?

Can you hear the song
The songbird heard once
And then never got wrong
Can you hear the song
The songbird sings us
Just for being in love

When you're lost in the forest
The wood in the furnace
Feels like our finest tragedy
When I'm lost in the forest
At the mercy of the artist
Mother nature never claimed to be

My pain is all gone
Soothed by birdsong
Are you gonna cut her off?
My hurt has gone numb
In the evening sun
Are you gonna get this wrong?

Can you hear the song
The songbird heard once
And then never got wrong
Can you hear the song
The songbird sings us
Just for being in love

Ed, when you're brilliant you really hit the spot.
    Masterful.
    Loves heartbreaking quandry.

The sound of nature's song can bring harmony to all as do your words.
