Sobriety In Life

Sobriety In Life

In our busy lives today

What should we choose

Sobriety and praise

Or a chapter still with booze

Whenever given the chance

May we all live well

Free to sing and dance

And celebrate a spell

And when we arise

From a night of drink

Let not our spirit die

But save us from the brink

And when we are ready

To know a higher power

We’ll be safe and steady

In all our darkest hours

And when the spirit’s with us

We know that He dares

To be the one we trust

For sobriety and care

      Glad you enjoyed it, Cooper.

A drink can always be enjoyed without the need to get drunk so you can have the best of both worlds.

It took me some years to realize that, for me, alcohol is a powerful foe. However, that does not mean that others can't enjoy it with no dire consequences.

A fine write w c. I'm nearly tee-total. Alcohol gives me tummy pains, even a little of it.

Thanks, orchidee. I've been sober for years, but i know that if i drink, i could suffer once again.
