Do you remember pillow talking
On the edge of the world
We'd dream of having a beautiful boy
And a beautiful girl
Do you remember the pain
In the morning kiss goodbye
Then no one else that day
Could make us smile
Do you remember free falling
From the top of that life
We'd scream through the city
As if we could fly
Do you remember the sting
As we'd hang up the phone
2 voices on a wire
Never feeling alone
But honey it seems to me
Remembering how good it use to be
And living off past glories
Well they ain't the same thing
Now I hear your voice so familiar I hear it calling out my name
And I see you smile so similar
But it's never been quite the same
Since the day you left
Without leaving me
You left without a trace
Now I endlessly track your footprints
Trying to find out who you became..
Yes I endlessly track your footprints
And I know you do the same
Coz every track I've been following
Leads me back to whence I came.

wow this was absolutely beautiful
Hi, I'm glad you liked it π
I often imagine disappearing. I imagine people donβt quite understand the footprints left
How could they? They're not you...all that we leave behind is other peoples opinions of who we were and what we did... Which is quite freeing in a way.
Exactly. I think you described the essence of my desire perfectly!
