Wounded Heart

myself and me

Wrap up the wounded heart

Gently but firm

Softly but tight

Paint it fresh

As new

The old pain

Like roots

Spreading underground

Burst out from the fine gap

Crack the new heart

Into pieces

Not poetic cinema, but rather cinematic poetry. Great piece.

  • Michael Edwards
