GO TO WORK ON AN EGG ~ AND SAVE FOSSIL FUEL !
THE EGG of a Hen is a wonderful thing
ITS SHAPE ~ its taste and its smell
IT FULL of goodness & zip & zing
NEATLY contained in a SHELL !
WE ALL need Protein to make us grow
AMINO ACIDS a must in our diet
AN EGG us VERSATILE ~ Protein filled
YOU can Boil it or Poach it or Fry it !
MY FAVOURITE style (for the extra mile)
IS to boil it still in its shell
A HARD BOILED EGG is a portable treat
JUST shell it and eat ~ thats swell !
WHEN we have Leeks in a Cheezy sauce
WE ADD slices of hard boiled Eggs
NEATLY layered (on top of course)
SUCH a touch give a meal legs !
I still remember the soft boiled Eggs
THAT I enjoyed as a Child
OFF with the top ~ dip my soldiers* in
AND all through my Breakfast I SMILED !
WAKE UP to am omelette with Cheese or Ham
REMEMBER the mantra ~ and show a leg
ADD Coffee with hot buttered Toast & Jam
AND go to work ~ dont be Jerk
AND GO TO WORK ~ AND GO TO WORK ~ ON AN EGG !

This was a very clever and humorous piece. I am a fan of scrambled eggs myself. My niece loves it when I make her an, 'Uncle Dion Omlet Special'.

Well, he got further than me if he did. I can't understand it. I thought one ate the shells and threw the rest away? Hmmm.
\\\"Is there any taste in the white of an EGG ?\\\" JOB 6 v 6 ! Maybe not but it is 12% Protine ! This is why Brother Job (He whom the Lord tested !) in the first half of the verse asks \\\"Can that which is tasteless be eaten without salt (sodium chloride) ?\\\" Whenever I take an H B Egg for a snack I always take a pinch of salt as well ! The Yolk is megatasty but the white BLAND. One can learn a lot (about everything) from the BIBLE !

Scrambled eggs but they have to be made correctly - not overcooked - never yet had good s. eggs in a hotel but often in a B&B where they are made fresh and brought straight away to the table. Your great post has inspired an idea for a limerick - if it works I'll post it tomorrow.
THANKS UNCLE MIKE : ITS 8 AM (SUNDAY) here and I have had a cheese omelette for breakfast and toast and N Z Manuka honey and milk ! As JOB said (6 v 6) there is no taste in the white of egg (see Orchidee) which is true ! This is why a lightly BOILED EGG has a very tasty start (soldiers dipped in uncongeled YOLK) and a tasteless end : the WHITE ! In scrambled eggs and omelettes the white & yolk are evenly whisked together and the taste evenly spread ! Looking forward to your limerick tomorrow ! Happy Scrambled Eggs : ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡
