Tearful Goodbyes

Brie

I don't do tearful goodbyes

I've shed too many already

I don't care for second chances,

but the firsts are always the worst

I loved the embraces that last ages,

the ones that let you know it's not over

I loved the kisses that linger, or lingered

I loved what used to be

I don't do tearful goodbyes,

I've said it too much already

I don't care for miracles,

because they happen once in a lifetime

And I don't do tearful goodbyes

they cost too much
