In the quiet of the night

Joseph M Marion

In the quiet calm of night, we walk hand in hand.

Down the path, across the sand.

Looking into your eyes, I feel you take a breath.

Standing together chest to chest, beneath the pale  moon light.

The silhouette of you and your body glows like a beacon in the night calling to me,

The wind starts to blows, trees shake.

The ocean waves begin to break.

The tide rises slowly, our feet in the surf.

A star falls from heaven, on its way towards earth.

Making a wish beneath the skies,

Holding you close, I feel you complete all of me and make both whole

Our time has come, we must be one,one heart, one mind, one soul, two bodies becoming whole,

Night has fallen in the sky.

No more need to cry, for this time was right.

To fall in love, beneath the moon and Lord above

I love to write are the emotions that flow to me close to my heart and into my hand but this is the way my honey makes me feel a lot of the time
