Tune: Kingsfold
('I heard the voice of Jesus say')
Mark 4 v.14-20
********
Jesus explained the parable
Of seeds sown and the soil
The sower sowed the word of God
As o'er the land he trod
Hearken well, did Jesus then say
I your questions allay
Explaining here of how it all
Works out when the seeds fall
Some falls by wayside, and Satan
Straightway comes, snatches then
The seeds away, and gone the word
That in their hearts they heard
For it hard ground, seeds not take root
Nor bear a bud or shoot
So does end in futility
For there no fruit e'er be
Some sown on stony ground, and such
Hear, receive with joy much
The word that is planted within
With good hopes they begin
But they have no root, so endure
For a while it is sure
Though when troubles come they stumble
And causes crop to fall
Some sown among thorns, they hear too
But cares have they not few
And deceits of riches, desires
That are as weeds and briars
For they do choke the word, and so
No lasting fruit they know
Entangled, distracted the be
With things of the world, see
Some sown on good ground, they hear well
Receive it, their lives tell
For they bear fruit, some thirty fold
To the word they do hold
And some produce of sixty fold
Or e'en hundred fold told
Lord, work in my heart, that be found
At least there some good ground

just you be careful where you plant them seeds, you old sow and sow you..........
Thanks N. lol.
my pleasure entirely...
You can call me a female guinea-pig - a sow. Or a male one - a boar - bore?!
Sowing the seeds of love entices the growth of any seed planted. Dig deep into soil to secure your fruitful bow. Great write, orchidee.
Thanks Kevin.
