Heavy as I linger, low and hard
Where shadows swallow what once was scarred
When suddenly I will of daisies speak
A blanket of them stretching out of reach
Lighter
In darkened rooms on wakeful nights
I hear the words of sanguine men
Which echo as the darkness wanes
unclouded.
