Writers block

Kasia Kevan

Clicking of the pen

As I think what to write

My mind's drawn a blank

The words are out of sight.

There's a thousand things

I want to say

But it seems every word

Has escaped me today.

So I'll finish this poem

With one final thought

Even when you have nothing to say

You will still think a lot.

You will think, then the next light bulb will light up in your head (and/or heart) and you will write again. But there - another fine poem has just appeared from you, as above!
Sometimes I don't write every day. Then I may do 1, 2, or 3 poems the same day.

To write so well about having nothing to say is to deal the writer's block a fatal blow. Great rhyming!

Words on this page show that writers block has been expunged.
