I'm so fed up, I'm going to write it out
This is my darkness that I can't shout
To live inside an empty shell
Nothing can fill an echoing well
Emotionless in motion
Unable to break free
This mind becomes a prison
That no visitors can come in
Lost within the riddles
Stuck from yester-years
A weight upon my shoulders
Saturated in lakes of tears
The chain around my ankle
No possible way to float
These are the thoughts of a dad
Just missing his children's hugs
I do not wish to judge or be judged
I may have more or less than some
But one thing for sure
My darkness is my own
If you struggle with yours
Then we are not alone
Healing is our journey
To do what we need to do
One day I know I'll look back
With a deep breath for us all...

Well, I'm worn out! I been trying to break out of my shell; get myself out of this hole I'm in; pull my socks up and get on with things; stop crying over spilt milk; etc. By the time I've done all that, there's no time for anything else. lol.
Lol maybe we should give up on milk and only use sandals. I feel better already, thank you.
Thanks Dan. lol. Well, it helps some (but not everyone) if I say: 'Oohh, you're having a bad hair day. Let's have a chat with a nice cuppa and slice of cake. It should sort things out!' lol.
Hang on to that insight my friend.. yes of course it will pass, it sometimes helps tho to be reminded of that doesn't it... keep jotting stuff down too.. writing can be an extremely powerful self help intervention and help to lift us up....You express yourself very well here in your poem Letting the Darkness Out.... Neville
Thank you and I'm pulling myself up with it 😉
Good to hear sir..
That's what I always tell myself.
This moment will pass.
Hold on tight.
Take a deep breath and let the wave wash over you 🖤
Washed and gone, new day new dawn 😉
My new dawn tried to drown me!
Oh why must it be this way?
Because we are tired of the role we play? Time to think a different way?
I like how you rhymed it Dan.
You are right, I need to stop doing what I have always done! 🌟
That darkness does not last and the ligh will soon be with you Dan.
