Mirrors Cracked
Talk about damaged
I’ve known mirrors cracked
Less broken
Talk about needy
I have nothing more to give
So let’s talk about nothing
Talk about angry
I can listen without limit
But drugs are not the answer
Talk about forgiving
I think it’s far too late for that
So why not take up knitting
Talk about teasing
I call it lying
But you hide it well
Talk about damaged
I’ve known mirrors cracked
Less broken
Talk about whatever
Tis well known but rarely spoken
I’m getting out of here
Talk about what’s missing
Go get some sleep
I just gone fishing

Oooh break-ups are made of these reflections - well written and to the point - - of no return - - Great read Neville.
bless you my luverly friend... sometimes I lose myself and then the pen takes over x
A fine write N. I'm not saying I'm ugly, but I've had a million years bad luck it seems. Well, I will keep looking in the mirror. Each time it cracks and it adds 7 years bad luck. Doh!
I might be handsome?! heehee.
thank you orchidee, another much appreciated visitation... oh' and dont be so hard on thy self, these things happen........... Neville
Bits of this and that remain, glances at mirrors recall a lurking 'why?'. A piece of crockery, a salt cellar, happy days in St Ives... a hope worn out,... yesterdays tomorrows denied.
For me they are all there in your writing today.
all it takes is a couple of words to trigger such memories, both good and maybe not so good...thank you my friend for your much appreciated visit and reasoned response, which if I may add, is a little poem in its own write..... Neville
Very well expressed! Thank you
delighted... and thank you my friend... N
Good emotive write Neville.
I am moved... thank you G60... and true.. N
They ask, but don't listen
Or
What good is talking, if no one is listening
Or
Silence is golden
Or
Keep your thoughts to yourself
Or
Say it like you have
Thanks Suresh and true, you are most kind and always appreciated...
Neville
Got It...and no, I'm not gonna ask - I see too many bits of my own life and relationships in there to want to take on any of yours.
Thanks for that, Neville.
