We Were Fishers

We Were Fishers

A bird from the sky

Dove into the lake

And seeing him I wished

A picture I could take

There was a kingfisher too

From an tip top perch

And seeing him I knew

For a fish he searched

I also saw an osprey

With his talons sharp

And on great wings would go

Fishing near and far

There were other times

As I fished around

When an eagle in the sky

Saw a fish and swooped down

We were the lucky ones

That fished every day

And when the fishing was done

We went our separate ways

That is quite a trout that the osprey has caught.
I too used to go fishing and had some wonderful times with nature.

Thanks G! I was a young lad when i was introduced to fishing. I think it was bluegill that we caught. It was nonstop action and we loved it!
