Wonderful wise wrinkly Wifey

Before we got together,
My life was such a bore,
But it soon got so much better,
And I really couldn’t ask for more.

We gelled so well right from the start,
How were we meant to know?
That we would steal each other’s hearts,
And our love would grow and grow.

We thought it would be a quick fling,
But we were both surprised,
That this would turn into a special something,
And change each other’s lives

You make me feel at ease when you’re around,
It’s only you that truly knows me,
My guard comes down and I can act like a clown,
And that’s because I love you dearly.

I can’t now imagine my life without you,
It just wouldn’t be the same,
No-one else could make me laugh quite like you do,
And without you my life would be so lame.

We have built up so many great memories,
During the years that have gone by,
We could write a book telling all our stories,
And the ink would surely run dry.

There are so many things I would have missed,
If our paths had never crossed,
Your grandkids, the dogs, the first time we kissed,
And all that came at no cost.

I know that you are often wondering,
Why do I love you so very much?
It’s because you are so amazing
And your gentle loving touch
