Medusa's Tea

ACat

Delicate satin drapes her elbows
As the morning sun arouses a fire
In a silenced, parasitic heart.
Timid, are her scorpion eyes.
No longer do they grace seas
With luscious avocado green.

Sins of intimacy begin to shed
From fallible and loose skin,
Delightfully scorched with memories.
With dusk, all is paralyzed.
Past lovers modified to nutrients:
Droplets, left to solemnly swim in her tea.
