Praise - Towdah

orchidee

Tune: Lux Eoi

('Alleluia, Alleluia! Hearts to heaven and voices raise')

********

'Towdah' or 'Yadah', to extend

Hands in worship, and attend

To the Lord in adoration

He high over each nation

And used in vows, or acceptance

Thanking God for things we hence

Trust in faith that we shall receive

That for which we do believe

Jeremiah 33 v.11

And to give thanks for things received

That for which we have believed

The voice of joy, voice of gladness

All attuned, the Lord to bless

Voice of bridegroom and of the bride

They sure in the Lord confide

Voice of them that say, Praise the Lord

Of hosts, He the living Word

Jeremiah 33 v.11

Praising Him for He is good, for

His mercy endures e'ermore

Voice of them that bring sacrifice

Of praise, pray it does suffice

For the Lord and for His glory

He will cause to return, see

Those who were captives in strange land

He shall restore by His hand

Psalm 42 v.4

When downcast, I do remember

How I went along to share

With the multitude to the house

Of God, nothing could it douse

There be voice of joy and praises

Each one the Lord upraises

Keeping holy day, worshipping

Our God, He our Lord and King

Psalm 50 v.14 & 23

Offer to God thanksgiving pure

Pay any vows to Him sure

He the most High, and who does so

Offer Him praise, let them know

That they the Lord do glorify

And that to such He is nigh

Those who order their way aright

He shows His salvation, light

Thanks Neville. I thought it was Star Wars - or is that the Chewbacca thing - the talking ape thingy?! Ohh, it's Hebrew, not that I know any. They all came up on one list. About 17 words of 'em in all.
