the sailor with a drowned future

Jon Nakapalau

Once a sailor returned to his town
only to find that everyone had drowned when the levees broke.

So he walked back to the port
and found his ship
his captain was puzzled:

"I thought you were going to return to you father's farm and marry?"
the sailor smiled sadly:
"So did I...but the sea will never let me go."
