TRANSFORMED BY SEASONS ~ BRIAN & ANGELA ~ A DODECET FLOW POEM

ANGELA & BRIAN

THANKS TO MICHAEL EDWARDS FOR USE OF HIS TREE PICTURE !

THE BLEAK TREE ~ WINTER COLOURED ~ SHUDDERED

SHUDDERED as Her remaining leaves were STRIPPED

STRIPPED by the wind ~ that bent Her naked  BRANCHES

BRANCHES that had ensured bumper harvest of cider APPLES !

APPLES that had been pressed ~ now fermenting into CIDER

CIDER the Golden Nectar of DEVON !

DEVON lovely County famous for Her Cream Teas ~ CREAM

CREAM ~ Clotted Cream & Scones & Jam ~ Holiday FOOD

FOOD of the GODS ~ Loved by Rich & Poor ~ EQUALLY !

EQUALLY the Tree knows its value & DESTINY

DESTINY that decrees that come SPRING ~ come Her LEAVES

LEAVES that by PHOTOSYNTHESIS produce GLUCOSE

GLUCOSE that morphs into the apples fibre & SUGARS

SUGARS that make Devon Cider so so GOOD !

GOOD seasonal cycle for the Tree Spring ~ Summer ~ AUTUMN

AUTUMN ~ Season for filling Fruit & falling LEAVES !

LEAVES US thinking ~ WE too can be like that TREE

TREE touched by GODS SEASONS to be FRUITFUL

FRUITFUL is what we want to be ~ bearing good FRUIT

FRUIT of the SPIRIT Love  Joy  Peace ~ No more THE BLEAK TREE !

Thanks for visiting ~ comments please ~ Love A & B  🧡🧡🧡

In a FLOW POEM the First Word in each line is the Last Word

This example is a Free Verse 9 9 2 Dodecet ~ OK Love A & B   ðŸ§¡

I thought I might have to swoon, seeing 'naked' in this poem! Ahh, you mean the trees - phew! heehee.
I never knew so much happened in the seasons. Well, I know now!

    • ANGELA & BRIAN

Thanks UNCLE STEVE : Pleased you learned something new today ! Brian tells me ~ A Naked Tree has the same intrinsic Natural Beauty as a Naked L*D* ! Like PRINCE CHARLES : He likes to Hug both : Only ME of course !
Blessings & Love in the SPIRIT :
      ANGELA & BRIAN 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Love the flow-poem dear Angela - - a tree is a wonder and you worded this one wonderfully well. Hugs for your fine efforts to supply nature's bounty in words.

Thanks FAY : When Brian & I saw Mikes Winter picture we both had the same thought : How would that same tree look in Spring (bright green buds & blossom) Summer (darker leaves & ripening fruit) Autumn (leaves changing colour and fruit ready to pick) ? You know about Devon Cider (Scrumpy !) and nothing quenches thirst better on a hot Summers Day : The English West Country is very blest ! We then applied the concept to our Own Lives and bringing forth The Fruit of the Spirit : AMEN
We did say to Uncle Mike that without his picture : Our poem could not have evolved : A Flow Poem seemed an apt FORM !
        Poetic Love : ANGELA & BRIAN 🧡🧡🧡🧡

This is a super piece of work - and thanks for the honour of using my painting - cheers and best wishes to you both.

Thank UNCLE MIKE ~ When I saw your Painting it made me think about perspective in the Seasonal Cycle of the Tree ! Your Picture was Winter and we both agreed that it would make a good Poem visualising it a a CIDER APPLE TREE bringing forth fruit which would produce the Devon Cider ! We then used the analogy of ourselves bringing forth GOOD FRUIT ~ Love - Joy - Peace and NOT Hatred - Misery - Aggression like some do ! As you know ~ Thats how a POEM EVOLVES. Glad you enjoyed the Poem MIKE because without your PICTURE ~ of the Winter Tree ~ there would have been no Poem. The POEM just flowed from the Painting so I decided a FLOW POEM would be the best poetic FORM ! Ii recites great because you can place the oral emphasis on the repeated word ~ OK
Blessings & Success in your Paintings & Poems ~
          Love BRIAN & ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡

            Just two comments
Trees are the best example of perpetual motion
Winter is the season for re-generation, so we can enjoy spring, summer and fall.
            Enjoyed reading your write
