please, come back, before you leave

natalinaonofireo

Please, come back

Don’t leave me here with them

They mock me, make me nervous

They spit at me

They lock hands and circle my mind

Dancing and laughing

Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and under and over again

Running around carelessly

Sprinkling spite into every crevice

And then they sit back

Admiring the damage, they have created

But this hatred, it’s addictive

There is something sweet about sadness

Something addictive, golden, brown

I keep going back to you,

Even though I know I don’t need you

I want your sympathetic comfort

Until

4:30- AWAKE

You were watching me sleep

‘it would be a good idea to wake her up’

I hear you whisper and giggle amongst yourselves

Crescendo to a scream

awake, sweating, tears, streaming

Mind racing, on a mission for honey

Exalting, unable to stop

Tick tock the hours flock past

Dark circles, the only physical representation of my time with you

Sculpted by yours truly

But

Please, just leave.
