The Darkness

prettylittlepoet

The darkness blankets the streets

The clouds cover the stars

The moon is barely seen

The crescent of light will surely disappear.

I don’t like the dark.

The darkness creeps in slowly

And then all at once

I can feel it coming within

Beginning to surround me

Until it finally swallows me whole .

I don’t like the dark.

But I am a part of the darkness now

And there is no light anymore

There will never be light without him.

The darkness may be around you but the light will soon be with you.
