Paranoia is right

Poetic Dan

In front of a mic your paranoia is right
They are all looking at you, they may even talk about you after the advent and you won't even have a clue!
Like a deer in head lights, what the duck do I do?
I know I've got loads of sweet rhythms and I love to sing a tune! but instead I get stuck with this moneatone blues, that sounds a bit lost in woods!

I hear Merry Jane with a faint distant jive
You know this one will never let it fly? It will come back at you in the middle of the night, just as this started when you closed your eyes!

Yeah this is true but look what we got, paranoia is my bitch and I'm going to walk it round the block, for that feeling in my stomach will be out and under control, while undoing the knots in my lyrical flow!

So to anyone listening know you can do it too, facing your demon's and joining a soul crew where music and words will help connect you....

show all you cards
Bring those issues
It all fades away
Everyone has tissues!

      Well yeah, kind of.
Look i used to be in bands, more than i care to remember, some brilliant some crap but...... when u hit the stage/mic just remember ppl want to be entertained and the more up front or outrageous u are the more entertaining you are.... my get out clause was "never be YOURSELF on stage" I would put on some 'alter ego' cloak and act up. Self defence really Dan...cos if they hated it, it wasn't me they hated, it was the character i was portraying. Think about it mate.

This was brilliant my friend read it last night and still can't get it out my head this morning... Who am I trying to be, if I put on a show is that still me and yeah I think the light hearted would be better.... Thank you so much for helping me sort through this stuff 😉

I'm pleased my comment resonated with you Dan. I used to have stage clothes which helped me be 'someone else/an act'. Here's a suggestion, a mate of mine used to wear a top hat on stage and adopted a different name and a whole different personality. Think about someone like Rik Mayall and the different characters he portrayed. So you could perform as 'Steroid Steve' or 'the two legged spaniel'... i.e. it's all an act. .... break a leg.

That paranoia an be conquered, all you need is to see the love in the peoples eyes, it may only be one person but that is the start and from there progression is bound to come.

There will be many out here who can relate & totally so.. it seems and sounds like you are already confronting your demons and reaping the rewards... Oh' and just between you and me.. I used to be terrified of public speaking until I was required to stand up on centre stage.. miked up and talk for two day stretches to a hundred or more psychiatrists and allied workers twice a month for a couple of years.... after the 3rd or 4th time.. it was easy.... Good luck Neville
