Tune: Aurelia

('The church's one foundation')

Numbers 23 v.19-24

********

God is not a man, that He

Should lie, far from it be

Him to do so, not repent

Does He, and nor relent

Has He said, and shall He not

Do it? that be His lot

Has He spoken, and shall He

Not make it good? so be

Behold, a command to bless

Have I, I do confess

For God has blessed, and I so

No other words speak, know

He has not beheld, Israel

No iniquity tell [regarding them]

Nor perverseness, for He be

Among them as King, see

God did from Egypt them bring

They came out, praise did ring

They have strength of unicorn (e.g. rhino)

He has His people borne

Surely there no enchantment

Nor divination sent

Against Israel that can stand

They shall possess the land

In these days it shall be said

What God has wrought! He led

His people through wilderness

His intent them to bless

Behold the people they shall

Rise as great lion, swell

And as young lion they be

Enemies their prey, see

Thanks K. Are you a unicorn? Magical, or imaginary. Some say it's a rhino. Or what else has one horn on its head?

      • Nicholas Browning

Afraid I'm a bit daft, who's k? Oh! Does a guy wearing a dunce cap count? Cause that's me.

        • orchidee

You can call me O, or M or P or Q, or whatever. Just don't call me Sue! - random name picked out there. lol.

              • Nicholas Browning

You seem to have an affinity for the name Sue, I've seen you mention it before. Great, now I'll be trying to remember all day.

Heehee. Well, I knew a Susan, and she hated being called Sue! lol. Neither call me Agatha. She's cropped up before too, but I know no one of that name.

Oh lord, the name "Agatha" gives me chills.
