The Waking Dream

SerenWise

Let us find the single place,

Where angels fall and demons rise;

Take hold of my pounding heart, my love,

And see our future in my eyes.

You’re stealing every piece of me,

Invading my mind with silken dreams;

Give no quarter on this ship, my dear,

Tear me, split me, at the seams.

My wishes fall like languid petals,

Moth wings we can see right through,

I'd kiss the earth beneath your feet;

Watch me as I drown in you.

I'm just existing in this dream,

Where distance doesn’t mean a thing,

I can almost feel your skin on mine...

Together, soon, our hearts will sing.

    I like this. A fresh take on love. Nicely done.

    May that song bring your hearts together as one.
