Arrow Head Hill
On a warm sunny afternoon
Just after a little rain
Arrow heads would appear
And for a while remained
Erosion was the word
That helped us understand
How the arrow heads occurred
Out of nowhere on the land
After some rainy days
We were not surprised
To see pottery as it lay
In shards before our eyes
We always had a great time
As we searched the hill back then
With evidence of a tribe
The pottery and flint
Reluctantly we had to leave
Those arrow heads of the past
But the memories we would keep
And they sufficed ‘til we came back

I'm with Tepo on this. A very good read.
Thanks so much, Nicholas. I appreciate your comment.
A fine historical write w c. Pottery shards reminds me of potsherds. Erm, we must say pot-sherds, not pots-herds - herds of pots!? lol.
I appreciate you, orchidee. Arrow heads have always been fascinating to me!
Good one w c.
Glad you enjoyed it, Goldfinch.
