Looking out

Middlearth

Always looking out

outside in

watching waiting

for the next storm to begin

staying under cover

hiding behind

hoping I won’t notice

the clouds in my mind

every step forward

is turned around

im back where I started

screaming with no sound

Sitting in plain view

in anonymous places

trying to find the gaps

to stay hidden in the spaces

I’ll stay here

in my corner of pain

because if I look outside

i won’t  want to leave again.

I enjoyed this quite a bit. A clever way of describing the fear to live.
    Best regards.

Thanks - it’s very much about living on the sidelines - surviving until I feel safe to live I guess.

Yeah, It's not easy to try knowing that you might fail.
