When I Forget
My memory was failing me
At the most embarrassing times
When I was barely 53
And others my age were fine
There had been a gradual change
Detectable to my friends
As I often lost my way
Much to my chagrin
The frustration that I felt
I simply could not hide
And I knew that they could tell
I had changed inside
The education that I got
Did not help me think
And always when I talked
I forgot constantly
I knew that there were others
Who suffered as I did
And I searched to discover
The lives that they had lived
My attention still fails me
And I’m annoyed when I forget
But still I try to be
A memorable fellow yet

I won't forget ya mate. lovely little poem right here.
Hey Kevin. I appreciate you.
Memory is a strange thing and much is lost and at my age it loses even more but the important things always remain with me - now where is my coffee?
I wish i had a better memory, but i've learned to use what i've got.
And a memorable poem too w c.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, orchidee.
