    She wakes in Awe,
The ocean frees her to love.
    Her heart is now free.

    • sylviasearcher

Aww, I sense a romantic in the ocean! Thanks for reading 😊

    • Nicholas Browning

      Feel the ocean tide,
As it sweeps, and lays to rest,
      Your body, and mine.

      A lovely write, Syl.

      AND OMFG TWENTY ONE PILOTS
You're kinda cool, you know that?

      • sylviasearcher

Oh I must be cool as I took my son to watch them live a couple of weeks ago.

You made my day calling me kinda cool, I’m not sure I’ve ever been called that. I live on the fringe. The. I thought maybe it’s because you think I’m too old for 21 pilots, then I thought maybe I am old?!

I liked your senryu response by the way. Quite a mighty warmth and let it be in your ocean! 😊

You cant beat a bit of brevity.. with loads of salt that is... makes everything taste so much better... N

Oh and the feel of your hair after a day by the ocean, all matted and damp and salty.

Like it left it’s mark I guess.

          Thanks n x

          • Neville

You got it.... my pleasure x

Short but saying all it ought - the sea has so much to answer for Sylvia.

            • sylviasearcher

It has all the answers I hear, it just speaks in strange sounds.

              Thanks for reading Fay 😊

              Avoid the Ocean
              it's a sea of motion
              lurking to claim you.

Powerful and thought provoking. The Sea has enormous powers, one of which is intoxication. It can lure people to destruction. A great write. - Phil - A.

Yes I am always reminded of the scene in the awakening by Kate Chopin when the protagonist gives herself to the ocean in the end.

              • dusk arising

The ocean will do as the ocean does. It cares not for your consciousness nor your heartbeat.

Your three lines have such power that they bring a vision of unlearned cruelty the naive will learn much to their cost should they trust in an ocean for judgement.

                Reality strikes.

                • sylviasearcher

                  Thanks 😊

I always love to see what people make of three lines.

I trust the ocean more than the humans though!

There’s an ocean in my chest!
