Tune: Engelberg
('All praise to thee, for thou, O King divine')
Based on a Collect - Formal Prayer
*********
Lord, from whom all holy desires proceed
And too all just counsels, they pure indeed
And all good works too come from you, their source
Ordained in your time, course
Grant to your servants here your perfect peace
That it abide in us and sure increase
So we share with the world, whose peace cannot
Compare e'er to our lot
So having your peace, grant our hearts be set
To obey your commandments with no fret
And that we pass our time here in your rest
And quietness, by you blessed
We ask this for love of your only Son
He Jesus Christ, our Lord, the holy one
To whom be glory now and evermore
E'en to earths utmost shore

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 10.10.10.6. metre. I cannot indicate exact words of the Collect, as I have adapted it a bit.

We all need to adapt... some of us more than others... I am of the opinion that adaptation is the key to longevity..... Neville
Thanks N. Pity adapting to my singing don't ever work, but there we go!
