Stop and Look.

Goldfinch60

This life seems to move so fast,

We join the rush,

Rush to do what?

As we race through life

Things will be missed.

As age has slowed me down

I see so many things,

That I have missed in rushing,

Rushing during my life.

The beauty of the world around us

Is there for us to enjoy,

Stop a while and look,

Look at the glory in your life.

My life has changed,

Changed for the better,

As now I have time,

Time to stop,

To stop and look

At the wonders around me.

Those wonders are there for all,

Just stop and look.

THANKS UNCLE ANDY : Angela here its 8:30pm here so Im just relaxing and catching up on the News ! BRIAN tells me he has a Poem on BREXIT which he will post later ! Love the famous duet between Louis & Bing ~ Gone Fishin' instead of just a Wishin' : Amen. STOP - LOOK - LISTEN was always a mantra of My Mamas : You'll never know what you missed ! I do more walking NZ and there is so so much to see & hear ! Thanks for the Poem ! Retirees tell me one of the many Joys of Retirement is that ONE DOES SLOW DOWN and thereby one gets much more out of life and there is always tomorrow. I guess I can retire at 55 on the NHS which is 2043 which dont seem too far away ! But I need to raise a Family (2 or 3 ?) first ! Not a lot of chance to slow down : Brian likes to do everything YESTERDAY !!! Have a lovely Day : Stopping : Looking & Listening !
Blessings & Peace & Joy to you both
Love in the Spirit : ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

Thank you for your kind words Angela, yes slowing down and stopping is so important in life.

As for the children I have always had a saying the first 10 years were the worst, then 20, then 30 our daughter is now in her fifties so it is the first 60 years are the worst. LOL.

          • Fay Slimm.

What an abundance we see when we do stop and stare my friend.... thanks for the needed reminder dear Goldy.

Thank you Fay, yes it is all out there if only we stop and look.

Our youth makes us race around, to gather as much and as fast as we can, no time to smell the flowers.

Infancy, a stage of exploration, to learn our surrounding.
Maturity, a stage of appreciation, to become our surrounding.

                  • Goldfinch60

Very true Suresh, thank you for your fine comment.
