Three Little Words

SerenWise

When my night of terrors ends

You make the sun rise in my heart,

When the dawn light softly breaks

My waning resistance quakes,

I finally know the truth of all,

You know I couldn't help but fall.

My warm heart beating salty tears

Will be borne across the ocean waves,

On the graceful wings of a seabird

And without a single word

Will settle softly in your hand,

Some token from a foreign land.

For what is distance near or far,

When love is infinitely strong,

Before we know we'll be together

Don't hesitate to say forever,

Dear darling, you know you're all I see,

Like wheeling seabirds, we'll be free.
