REPETITION IS VERY IMPORTANT IN CLASSICAL POETRY !
It emphasises the message of the Poem. A PANTOUM consists
of any number of QUATRAINS and the structure is based on
REPETITION. Line 2 & 4 of Verse ONE become lines 1 & 3 of
Verse TWO and NEW lines 2 & 4 are added in Verse TWO in
harmony with the theme of the Poem. When you decide on
the final Verse (in this case Verse FOUR) lines 1 & 3 (from
Verse ONE must be used as lines 2 & 4 ! This confers closure
(verbal completeness) on the PANTOUM.Why not try one

A fine write B&A, and a very old clip from 1959. heehee! What do I know? I dig out hymns from the 4th Century AD. I even met the hymn-writers in person. Tis why they call me Fossil. lol
I gotta do the 'maths' on this too - line 1, line 2, etc... I'm all in a twirl! You knew it would be too much for poor OLD Orchi to work out. lol.

SORRY UNCLE STEVE IT SEEMS TO HAVE SELF~ DELETED ! The reply I was making was that even though the duet by Pat & Shirley Boone was released about 25 Years before I was born (!983) ~ The sentiments & pathos exactly fitted the feelings Angela have when we are 11,500 miles (and £700) apart ! BUT on Saturday 20th April we will be TOGETHER AGAIN ~ AMEN !
