INITIALLY PEOPLE were scared of X-rays
They visualised MEN wearing X-ray glasses
Able to see through clothing and see ........
NAKED LADIES ! Its always Men ! Thank GOD .......
It doesn't work like that : all you see is
A FEMALE SKELETON & Skeletons aren't sexy !
The advantage of X-rays is that you can
See the BONES & where breaks & fractures have ........
Happened and healed : and joints been replaced.
X-rays show spots on lungs & swallowed things !
X-rays are not used on Pregnant Mothers
Ultra sound can scan the position of .......
Babies : and how many there are ! X-rays
Are useful to physiotherapists !
Intense X-rays can also be used to kill
Cancer Cells without harming other tissue.
They are quite often used to treat Prostate
Cancer leaving delicate tissue OK !

X-RAYS : such as the hip replacement above : are very useful to
PHYSIOS to see how the two hips are aligned and if the legs
are of a very similar length ! Any realignment or difference in
length will affect the GAIT ! Our job is to enable the Patient
to walk properly after massage : manipulation and observed
walking. Together with the Surgical Team we do our very besy
to ensure perfection. Such replacements and the aftercare are
free on the NHS. The actual cost to the NHS is in excess of
£10,000 ! Never take the NHS for granted : ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡

I have had all sorts of tests, x rays, ct scans and mri scans. With one of the mri scans they gave me a cd with the scan on to take to the specialist, I took a copy of it and I can now prove that I have a brain!
THNAKS UNCLE ANDY : Pleased your saw the meaning behind my X--RAY Poem. Ruth who I share a flat with in NZ & the UK is a readiographer and I have a great respect for her work ! She X-rays them when they come in after acidents (UGLY) and when the go out (PRETTY) and comparing the two is a great help to us as we assist post operative recovery. The AMERICANS find it very difficult that those of us who require (say) a HIP JOINT REPLACEMEMENT ($13,000) can obtain one ( and aftercare) totally free @ point of delivery ! I hope I or BRIAN never need one but if we do we know it is available ~ AMEN Im pleased you are impressed with the NHS !

THANKS FAY : Owing the 12+ hours time gap between UK & NZ (its now 10:30am Thursday) here ! Clinics @ 2pm & 6pm today gave me a chance to post & catch up on comments etc. Yes for the Health Service in any Country X-Rays are indispensible ! Like me Ruth takes a great pride in : and derives great satisfaction from her work as a RADIOGRAPHER !

Thanks Uncle Steve : Pleased you enjoyed the Presentation. The X-ray unit in any Hospital is of vital importance. It give the Medical team an insight into internal skeletal damage and enables surgery to proceed. The facilities in Auckland are are excellent should I ever (God Forbid) fall of My Horse ! I am renting a Horse (by the HOUR) while Im here : Pony Trecking is a very important and healthy leasure activity here !
