The Voyage

SerenWise

The lighthouse white upon the sea wall,

I would walk out in a raging storm

I'd stare up at its lantern, bright -

Signaling to the brave ships, tall.

I'd imagine us upon a day,

When the sun is glancing off the waves,

I'd gaze into your blue-grey eyes,

My heart would sing to hear you say -

That you would love me forevermore;

And my heart is fit to burst with joy,

Imagining all the wondrous bliss

That our shared future has in store.

My heart-ship sails on a raging sea,

Braving the squall and the roiling tides,

And soon, I'll be there by your side,

Home, my love, where you wait for me.
