The suchness of love's fragrant devotion
lies in ways
its needed sweet potion is made.
Being tenderly constant wears well with
most lovers,
without which contentment can fade.

 

Distrust can suck strength from best of
intentions
for doubt renders efforts inactive.
With constant negligence love stales
if it counts
much cost into tolerance factors.

 

What gains success for love's fragrance
lies a lot
with the scent its solutions are made.

      Yes Nev - finding the answers to love can be life's greatest challenge - -- written a while back I wanted the sense of lightness and fragrance to permeate this poem.. but reckon now it reads rather stuffy and ends heavy- .... the quote opened interesting questions though - -

        Thanks FAY ~ for sharing an elegant LOVE POEM ! When BRIAN and I became engaged it was a first for both us because : for the first time we felt our mutual love was strong enough for commitment and subsequent Marriage ! Being apart has been difficult but the rings we wear (Brians is a signet ring with A🧡B on it !) have shown to the World that we (in the Modern Parlance) are : AN ITEM !
        V 1. TRUE LOVE is Constant & Content and never fails !
        V 2. LOVE wihout TRUST is ephemeral
        V 3. TRUE LOVE should never be taken for granted : AMEN !
