Finally

SerenWise

Neurons firing,

Palms perspiring,

Excitement is cresting

Like a great tsunami

Washing over me...

Rippling, glittering seawater

Surging through veins,

Engulfing the plains

Of my mind,

Once barren, now fertile,

The seeds are planted

With a radiant smile.

I can't wait to find

Your face in the crowd,

And at long last,

Speak your name aloud -

Long years of feeling so alone,

In your arms, I will finally

Be coming home.

I sincerely hope everything goes according to plan.....

a nicely poemed little homecoming , for sure.... Neville

  • Fay Slimm.

A wonderfully descriptive reason for searching the crowds for just one face - love sounds great when after long lonely times the heart can come home

May the homecoming be as wonderful as your words.

Tremendous building of joy and excitement in this. I felt it. Very emotional.
    Goes into my favourites.
