DUNEDIN is a very Scottish City
Statue of ROBBIE BURNS ~ Haggis in the shops
And the Droan o' the Pipes !
The Schoolchildren all wear Tartan Uniforms ~ but
None of those we spoke to
Has ever visited the Auld Country !
DUNEDIN is a great Tourist Centre
For its Architecture ~ Museums & Art Galleries
Good wholesome Food and Wine & Beer !
It has an excellent Harbour for Sailing.
Its climate is cooler but drier than Auckland.
NEW ZEALAND gets cooler as you travel South*
Here one can see Penguins ~ Albatross ~ Seals & Sealions
It is the home of NZ's First University ~ 20,000 Students !
Thanks for visiting ~ Comments welcome ~ Love A & B 🧡🧡🧡

Such a shame about the 'Droan o' the pipes' but at least they are playing the tune that I want them to play, "Far Away" and the farther away they play the better and in Dunedin that surely cannot get much farther away.
You are obviously having a great time, enjoy.
Thanks Uncle Andy ~ YES the BP's are an acquired taste ~ I was in a Scots Scout Troup in Liverpool and we would wake everyone up at 9am Sunday with the Pipes on the Church Parade ~ plenty of good scouse humour and a few misles ! I didnt include the Dunedin Pipe Band but I have added a Back-packers video ~ please check. Its 9:30pm (Thursday) so we're of to Milford Sound Early in the morning !
Blessings & Love in the Spirit to YOU & JOYCE

Cari Amici Angela e Brian,
Una bella scrittura sulle vostre vacanze insieme!
So glad you two are finally enjoying some quality time together! The city of Dunedin sounds delightful! You say you’re about to go out for dinner. Buon Appetito!

Grazie Laura Nostra Amica Bella ! Nostra Vacanze en NEW ZEALAND e eccelente ! Dunedin is a very elegant City and the food in NZ Ristoranti is always excellent. We has Lamb & Shalotte Pie with KOUMERA (NZ sweet potatoes) and as in NZ always three veggies. Then Pear Crumble ! The NZ Rose goes well with LAMB ! We have been separated by 11,500 miles for eight months so we have a lot of *quality time* to catch up on ! Its nearly 10pm so an early night and a 4 hour drive to Milford Sound in the Morning ~ AMEN
Abbracci e Baci per tu !
Con Amore ~ ANGELA e BRIAN 🧡🧡🧡🧡
Such an interesting read for those like me who have never visited the fine city of Dunedin or the Land of the Low Cloud - - -- did not know either that this part of South Island was so very Scottish - - bagpipes and all !!! Have another great day of your trip you two lovelies.
Thanks for your comment FAY : BRIAN & I are very blessed to have the opportunity to explore the South Island together. I am finding it diferent from N Island. More space : fewer Maori and much more hilly and cooler and windier ! Autumn (April - May) is a good time of the Year to visit S Island and Brian could get the time off and travel 12,000 miles to be in Dunedin ! It really must be LOVE ! We try to supply some information each day to whet the appetite of those who (as yet) have not had the opportunity to visit ! We are enjoying every second of being here AND being together !
Blessings & Love
Yours ANGELA & BRIAN 🧡🧡🧡🧡
